Overview
The MPAC208-IECEx Pro Kit brings together a suite of tools designed to give maintenance teams fast, reliable insight into both acoustic and thermal issues across industrial environments. At the center of the kit is the class 2 certified MPAC208-IECEx, a high‑performance acoustic imaging camera that pinpoints ultrasonic sound sources with speed and precision. Its 208‑channel MEMS microphone array captures frequencies from 2 kHz to 100 kHz, allowing it to detect everything from tiny gas leaks to early signs of mechanical wear and partial discharge in high‑voltage systems. Acoustic data is blended with visuals from a 13‑megapixel optical camera and displayed on an 8‑inch touchscreen, creating clear, real‑time overlays that make sound sources easy to locate.
To ensure the camera remains accurate and properly calibrated, the kit includes the MPAC‑V Professional Acoustic Camera Verifier. This compact ultrasonic generator is used to confirm the alignment of the acoustic image, verify SPL measurements, and check frequency response, helping users maintain confidence in the MPAC208’s performance.
The kit is further enhanced by the MPAC‑TM640 Thermal Module, which adds high‑resolution thermal imaging to the MPAC208 platform. Connected through a keyed USB‑C port with no additional setup required, the module captures full‑frame temperature data and supports parameter adjustments directly through the MPAC208 interface. With its 6× digital zoom and detailed thermal output, it enables users to identify hotspots, assess asset condition, and correlate thermal and acoustic findings in a single, integrated workflow.
