Overview

The MPAC208 is a high‑performance acoustic imaging device built to quickly and precisely locate ultrasonic sound sources in industrial settings. It enables maintenance crews to spot gas leaks, signs of mechanical wear, and partial discharge (PD) in high‑voltage equipment without halting operations.

Its core technology is a 208‑element MEMS microphone array that captures frequencies from 2 kHz up to 100 kHz, giving the MPAC208 the ability to pick up extremely small leaks and subtle ultrasonic patterns.

Captured acoustic information is combined with imagery from a 13‑megapixel optical camera and shown on an 8‑inch capacitive touchscreen, producing sharp, real‑time visual overlays that highlight the exact origin of sound.

The MPAC208-IECEx camera provides all the features seen in the standard MPAC208 but is certified for use in Class 2 explosive atmospheres.
